How to choose the correct lower dashboard core and frame for your truck.
DRT Parts offers two complete reproduction lower dashboard core and frame assemblies: one for 1994–1997 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 trucks, and another for 1998–2001 Ram 1500 plus 1998–2002 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks.
Confirm Fitment Before Ordering
The early and later interiors use different dashboard assemblies and are not interchangeable. A 2002 Ram 1500 belongs to the next generation, so it is not included in the later second-generation Ram 1500 fitment.
Replacement vs. Dash Cover
A cover hides visible cracking but leaves the aged lower structure in place. A complete replacement removes the failed core and frame. Inspect the vents, ducts, mounting clips and HVAC components while the dashboard is apart.
Installation Planning
Photograph electrical connectors, label hardware and follow the installation guide supplied for the exact product. Installation time varies with truck condition and experience; DRT Parts sells parts and does not perform installation.
