Dash Cover vs. Replacement Dashboard
Choose the repair that matches the condition of your 1994–2002 Dodge Ram.
A dash cover can improve appearance when the original structure remains sound. A replacement lower dashboard core and frame is the better choice when cracking, missing sections or broken mounting points affect the structure.
What a Dash Cover Does
A molded cover installs over the original surface. It can conceal light cosmetic damage, but it does not remove brittle material or restore broken mounting points underneath.
What a Replacement Does
A complete lower dashboard replacement removes the failed core and frame. DRT Parts offers an early assembly for 1994–1997 Ram 1500/2500/3500 and a later assembly for 1998–2001 Ram 1500 and 1998–2002 Ram 2500/3500.
Which Option Fits Your Truck?
Choose based on structural condition, budget and how long you plan to keep the truck. Confirm model year, series, trim code, current product contents and installation requirements before ordering. A 2002 Ram 1500 is not included in the later second-generation 1500 fitment.
