What Years Are 2nd Gen Dodge Ram?

The second-generation Dodge Ram began with the 1994 model year. Ram 1500 moved to the next generation for 2002, while the heavy-duty Ram 2500 and 3500 continued in the second-generation body style through 2002.

Why 2002 Causes Confusion
The 2002 model year is split by series. A 2002 Ram 1500 uses the newer generation and should not be treated as a late second-generation 1500. A 2002 Ram 2500 or 3500 may use the later second-generation dashboard listed by DRT Parts.
